The fourth annual International Food Symposium 2007 will be an exciting two-day event, presenting the very latest in global food trends, and providing a fresh perspective of the global food market. This year we will be showcasing the food industry from the perspective of health and wellness.

Health and wellness is growing in importance in the food industry year over year. Seven in ten North Americans claim to be trying to eat healthier foods, 65% say calories don't always count, and studies show that between 25% and 35% of consumers make their food choices based on some health reason - with obesity and diabetes topping the list.

The Symposium will examine this emerging trend from a business perspective and provide insight into how the growing importance of health and wellness among consumers will impact all the players in the food industry - from producer to retailer to consumer, and everything in-between. We will look at the opportunities presented, strategies and current successes in the market.
