Australia Smart Food Tour Overview

The tour will include Melbourne (Victoria), Sydney (New South Wales), Canberra (Australia Capital Territory) and Perth (Western Australia). Departing Canada Tuesday, Nov. 1, arriving back on Nov. 12.

You will meet and network with key people and tour operations in these areas:

  • The livestock industry (beef, pork and dairy) including organizations, producers and executives.

  • Leading research organizations involved in crop and livestock research and development.

  • Organizations and companies involved in developing new food products as well as adding value to existing food products.

  • Agencies and individuals responsible for exporting and marketing Australia food products to the world.

  • Government officials both at a national and state level, who partner with, or support the agri-food industry in Australia.

  • Visit farms in Australia so you can see first hand production techniques and how they compare to farms back in Canada

  • An opportunity to network and raise the profile of your organization/company among leaders of the Australian food industry.
